It is easy to become despondent with all the tales of current financial woes. Daily, I hear more stories about the collapse of the American economy, hear stories of my home state's collapse, and hear about my friends' struggle to locate jobs. 9 months past graduation, and most are still looking for anything - minimum wage, telemarketing, mall jobs - anything to help pay off their student loans and pay for their rent at substandard apartments.

If, rather than giving up home and sinking into financial despair, they considered all their options, the world might look brighter. That's, by doing a homestay swimming pool ([http://revistas.ues.edu.sv/index.php/index/user/viewPublicProfile/1228 click here to read]), they could save on rent, utility bills, and food costs. Whether it's at college, in a whole new city or even in a whole new state, living with a host family allows freedoms the current economic crisis isn't going to.

Homestays at colleges are an idea few people consider, which is surprising: with only some hours of babysitting, walking a dog (or cleaning a cat's litter box), tutoring, garden work, tutoring, helping elderly or disabled people, or so on, a college student could live at a dramatically reduced - or free - rate. This obviously benefits the family and the student, who will likely need to borrow less in student loans. And, since it's just a number of hours a day, it's easy to study and go out while doing a homestay.

For anybody who is not at college but are working, homestays are a good fit also. As long as the host family's requirements are met before or after the regular day of work, you may save a bundle of cash on rent. That way, all the money you earn will go to paying off debt or savings. If you think you are too busy for that, you may even be able to work out a partial payment schedule, where you do a number of hours less work and pay for a portion of your room and board - still allowing you and your host family a win-win situation.

And, if you're unemployed, staying with a host family could possibly be a great way to conduct a job search while maintaining a crisis fund - or at least not being like a lot of and going into card debt. Without this financial stress, you can devote more, better hours to finding a job that suits your abilities.

Some states are harder hit than others in the current crisis. On top of that, some sectors are booming in one state while withering in another. A homestay is an easy way to move to another city or state and also to start networking, applying to jobs in a brand new place, all while living rent free and often with board as well. And, if nothing else, if you feel stuck in which you are but don't have a real idea of where to go, at least this way you can try a new place without breaking the bank.

With the economy how it's, for all those who are students, unemployed, or do not have too much tying them down, staying with a host family, building relationships and helping someone out while getting free room and board is definitely an oft-overlooked option.
